Frequently Asked Questions

What services do you offer?

Birth support and postpartum care, in English, French, and Spanish. On the birth side, I'm with you from your prenatal visits through labour, however long it takes, and into your first days at home. On the postpartum side, I offer monthly subscription plans (Bella Essentials, Bella Nido, Bella Cocoon), built around in-person support, text and call access, and the things that actually make those early weeks feel survivable. Whatever stage you’re in, there's a place for you here.

How do I get started?

With a conversation, not a contract. Book a free Discovery Call and we'll talk through where you are, what's feeling hardest, and what kind of support would actually help. There's no wrong answer and no pressure. By the end of that call, you'll know exactly what working together looks like — and so will I.

What makes you different?

I'm not here to manage your birth or your postpartum. I'm here to walk beside you as you go through it, in whichever language feels like home, without judgment about your choices, and without going straight to the baby before I've asked how you're doing. Most of my work happens in the details most people don't think to offer: a meal made while you nap, a hard question answered honestly at 9pm, a home that feels a little lighter when I leave. All births, all choices, always.

are you only available in ottawa and gatineau?

My in-person support is based in Ottawa, Gatineau, and portions of the Outaouais region. That said, I work with international and relocating families often; virtual support, text access, and the Bella Method framework travels well, even when I can't be there in person for every visit. I am also open to traveling as needed.

Why the name "Bella Mama"?

Bella because every mama deserves to feel beautiful and capable in this season, not just exhausted by it. Mama because that's the whole point — you, not just the baby. I'm Dominican and Honduran, born in Montréal, and Bella Mama carries all of that. It's for the families who've felt like the birth world wasn't quite built for them — because for a long time, I felt that way too.

I don't have family nearby. Is this still for me?

This might be exactly who Bella Mama is for. So many of the families I work with are far from home — navigating a new country, a new language, or just a season where their village hasn't shown up the way they hoped. That's the fourth pillar of how I work: Aldea, village. If you don't have one yet, we build one together.

Do you offer postpartum support outside of the subscription plans?

Yes — life with a newborn rarely fits neatly into a plan, so there's room to add on exactly what you need. Extra daytime hours, overnight support, sibling care, partner support — all available whether or not you're on a subscription. Think of the plans as your foundation and add ons as the things you reach for when a particular week calls for more.

Reach out and we'll talk through what would actually help.
